4 Ways To Link To Other Hubs - Inter-Hub Backlinks
78As the number of hubs you produce increases, you may be looking for ways to create links between your hubs to associate hubs on a common topic or simply to drive some traffic to some older hubs you may have. There are many ways to add backlinks within your hubs and we’ll look at 4 of them below.
Add Link In Hub Text Capsule Editor
You can add a hyper-link to any of the text in your hubs and Hubpages makes it easy for you to do so. You can use HTML code if you wish; alternatively you can easily add a link when editing the text module.
Highlight the keyword (or words) you want to add the link to, press the link button (shown below in the picture – looking like a chain or infinity symbol) and a pop up will appear which allows you to add the link you desire.
As you can see in the second photo you can either enter the URL or select one of your hubs from the quick menu.
The word you add the link too is often referred to as the anchor text and if you are keen to improve your search engine position, the anchor text would be one of your targeted keyphrases.
Use A Link Capsule
If you don’t want to incorporate the link into the main body of your text, you can add a link capsule to your hub. The link capsule allows you to present a link and give a short description of what the link offers the reader.
This can be beneficial if you wish to give a list of relevant links or additional resources which will build on the content of the hub and enhance the quality of the content you produce. If you are making an argument it can be beneficial to give sources of information you have used to make your conclusions allowing the reader to do the same.
The photo below shows the pop up you will see when editing the link capsule, allowing you to add the links you desire. You can add the URL directly or use the Search Hubpages feature to find relevant hubs you feel will add to your hub.
The Hubpages search will search all relevant hubs, not only your own. If you are intending to link only to your own hubs, then adding the URLs directly will be a little quicker.
To serve as an example I have created a list of links related to the phrase backlinks. None of the hubs belong to me, however they all have a great hub score and are by some very high quality authors.

You can also add an RSS feed to your hubs which can generate a list of relevant hubs from a specified Hubber or tag.
Many of you will have seen the RSS feed on the Hub mob topics, you can add a feed for your own hubs or for a particular tag word or phrase.

Hubpages Link Suggestion Tool
The hub link suggestion tool is a feature of hubpages which suggests potential links to hubs you have created. This is intended to create link between high quality relevant hubs to improve the reader experience and highlight quality hubs and increase hub traffic.
If you go to one of your existing hubs you’ll find a bar along the top of your hub with the options to; Edit, View Hub Stats, Delete the Hub, or Suggest Links (as shown below).
The link suggestion tool is a little more random in terms of link building than selecting the anchor text and associated links yourself.
The suggestion tool is a better tool for improving hubpages in general as opposed to improving your individual hubs search positions.
Accompanying the link suggestion tool is your Hub Karma score. Your Hub Karma (between 0-100 much like your hub score) is a reflection of the degree you link to other hubs, topics and hubbers in your hubs.

Manage Your Hub Groups
In the “My Account” section of Hubpages, you can create groups for your hubs. The benefit of this is a pair of links at the bottom of your hub to the hubs you have listed before and after the current hub in your group.
When you create a new hub title, whether published or not, it will become an Orphan hub until it is placed in a group. You can drag and drop the hub titles into the relevant groups and reorder them to suit.
This allows you to place a new hub in a group between the older, more established hubs, and potentially increasing the traffic to your new hub.

Adding an RSS feed to your hub means the hub will constantly be updated when the feed you have added has been updated.

Links from within the website to your pages have some small SEO value if that's what you're looking for, but should be looked at more as a way to get people to view your other hubs instead.
If you're looking to use Hubpages as part of a link-building campaign for SEO on another website; multiple links from one site such as hubpages to one site if yours will have a small SEO effect, so don't rely on it too much or make it a huge part of your link building efforts.

This is more of a how to article as opposed to a link building strategy hub. I would agree with you on much of what you say, links to other hubs is more about content linking and traffic building than hisg SERP rankings.

Hey P, glad you liked the hub. Even if a few lines give something to you, I've done my job.
I took the screenshots when creating the hub. Pressing Alt + Print Screen will copy the active window. Open Paint or a graphics editing package, like photoshop, and paste. The active window will be dumped into Paint and can be edited and saved as a Jpeg. Which can be inserted in the picture capsule.
The hub hit 100 for a day, which was totally awesome. I'm overwhelmed at how well the hub has done.

How do you add the code in using Adsense to a hubpage. It says HTML but where do I find that? I am confused.
LeeWalls, you add your Google adsense Affiliate Code in the "My Account" section of the site. Click Affiliate settings and enter your code there. When a click is made on one of the ads on your hubs it will be attributed to your affilaite code.
