Unicef Brio Wooden Train Sets
70UNICEF Brio Train Sets
You may be asking what is the UNICEF Brio train set?
I recently published a hub about one of my favourite childhood toys, Brio train sets, and while researching the article came across the UNICEF train set and feel it receives some special attention.
Brio prides their toys on being educational tools for developing our children as much as they are fun toys to play with.
UNICEF collaborated with Brio to develop the Mission Set Immuno to generate a social awareness of the important work being down by UNICEF Immunisations and to contribute financially to their efforts by donating some of the profits from the sales of the sets.
The proceeds of one set could purchase polio immunisations for 14 children or could purify 900 litres of water with the purchase of water purification tablets.
Help Our Hero Cef
The special edition classic wooden train set comes with an accompanying illustrated story book.
The train set, and story book lets the children play out the adventures of our hero Cef, who travels around protecting kids from serious illness by delivering vaccines to immunise and cure children in need.
Cef comes up against Siruv, who has escaped and is trying to make children sick with the “nasties” he travels with. Cef is the only person who can stop him with the vaccines to protect children from Siruv and cure those he has already affected.

UNICEF is a wonderful organisation who is making a positive lasting contribution to children’s lives across the world and if purchasing their products can help them make a bigger difference then I encourage you all to make thoughtful purchases that will improve the social awareness of UNICEF and their efforts. Not forgetting the reason why you are buying a wooden train set, so your child can lean and play.
It’s a great way to help the children of the world by purchasing toys for your children to play with!

I, like BrianS did not know that this set even existed, but I also believe this is a good paring. Brio is a high quality brand, and UNICEF has a great mission, so such a partnership can only do good. Thanks for doing this hub, and letting people know.
I never new about UNICEF and Brio toys. What a great thing for kids to learn.

Well you live and learn, I have a vague recollection of the UNICEF train set, but had no idea of the purpose behind it. I have learned something today.
